De Golden Globes zijn gisteravond uitgereikt in Los Angeles. De tv-prijzen gingen onder andere naar Homeland, Girls, Downton Abbey en Game Change.
De Hollywood Foreign Press, de organisatie van buitenlandse journalisten in Los Angeles, reikt ieder jaar de Golden Globes uit. Het is een belangrijke graadmeter voor de Oscaruitreiking, later dit jaar. Sinds 1944 worden er Golden Globes voor films uitgereikt, sinds 1956 vallen ook tv-producties in de prijzen.
